Fees

Fees can be discussed before initial consultation. These fees may be subject to a Medicare or private health fund rebate (please read about rebates below). Fees may be negotiated if the client demonstrates financial hardship, or if the psychotherapy extends past the rebate period. Sessions vary in length but are often 50 minutes long.

I offer telehealth sessions if travel is a difficulty. I do not offer couples counselling.

Fees must be paid at the time of appointment. Payment may be completed by EFTPOS, direct deposit, or cash.

Rebates

Rebates are available for individual sessions through Medicare and some private health fund providers. If you are seeking a rebate through a private health fund, please check with your provider to determine if Clinical Psychology cover is applicable.

Rebates from Medicare require a referral from a GP or psychiatrist under the Medicare Better Access Scheme. A Medicare rebate is provided for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The Medicare Rebate for a session with a clinical psychologist is currently $131.65 for an individual psychology session.

Please note that a GP Mental Health Care Plan is not required in order to engage in psychological services, but is rather an option to aid with accessibility. Private referrals are welcome.
